Tyler is a graduate of the California University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Sports Management. Upon graduating, Tyler worked as a personal & master trainer for 9 years and an exercise physiologist, assisting physical therapists attending to their patients, for two and a half years.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Tom attended West Los Angeles College for three years studying general studies. While in California, Tom worked as a manager of shipping and receiving for a grocery store when he met his now wife, Barbara. They married in 1978 and in 1979 moved north to Oregon.
Tom began playing baseball at the age of 5 and his love for pitching gained him a valuable position playing on all-star teams, Little League, and through high school. As his knowledge and love for the game progressed, Tom began to coach baseball as well as pitch in a number of different leagues.
Today, Tom is a nationally ranked competitive water skier. After years of coaching and participating in the sport, he realized how physically demanding waterskiing was and began on his journey to become an expert in physical fitness. While rehabbing from a personal injury, Tom’s experience with his physical therapist and personal trainers to increase his sport performance inspired him to learn the profession himself.
Proud father of two, Tyler is Tom and Barbara’s youngest child and the reason Tom is also a grandfather. In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time with his family or staying active through a variety of sports.
Tom is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds his credential of being a Youth Exercise Specialist.
