Tom Carey
Vice President

Born in Los Angeles, California, Tom attended West Los Angeles College for three years studying general studies. While in California, Tom worked as a manager of shipping and receiving for a grocery store when he met his now wife, Barbara. They married in 1978 and in 1979 moved north to Oregon.

Tom began playing baseball at the age of 5 and his love for pitching gained him a valuable position playing on all-star teams, Little League, and through high school. As his knowledge and love for the game progressed, Tom began to coach baseball as well as pitch in a number of different leagues.

Today, Tom is a nationally ranked competitive water skier. After years of coaching and participating in the sport, he realized how physically demanding waterskiing was and began on his journey to become an expert in physical fitness. While rehabbing from a personal injury, Tom’s experience with his physical therapist and personal trainers to increase his sport performance inspired him to learn the profession himself.

Proud father of two, Tyler is Tom and Barbara’s youngest child and the reason Tom is also a grandfather. In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time with his family or staying active through a variety of sports.

Tom is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds his credential of being a Youth Exercise Specialist.

Eeje' Quiroz

Lead Yoga/Zumba Instructor

Born and raised a Portland native, my fitness journey really took off in college. Growing up I had always loved being active, but between family issues, money issues and injuries, I could never stay consistent.
A little over five years ago I was attending PSU to become a preschool teacher, and signed up for a handful of group fitness classes on campus to really hold myself accountable for becoming active again. That’s where I discovered how much I absolutely love working out. It is also where I met the woman who could see I was meant to be an instructor long before I could. After a few months of always taking her Zumba class, and having her constantly tell me I should become a Zumba instructor myself, I finally did. Not long after that though, life had once again took over and I was only subbing when I had the time. A little over a year ago I had a drastic life change and I knew it was time to put my focus into what I love. I got certified to teach Buti Yoga- my heart and soul put into the form of a work out- as well as a few other classes, and now I focus my time on improving my teaching abilities and getting every certification my heart desires.
When I’m not teaching I read, go dancing, hike, and spend time with family, friends, and my two fur babies Luna & Bella-Nova.
